The Mini’s transmission is making some horrifying noises, the bearings are completely shot. I just need it to not go pop for a few more weeks...
I just need to get a couple of paychecks from the new job to ensure that my budget estimates are correct and then I can set the Toyota dealer loose to find me a Blue Corolla SE Hatch. Then it’s just a matter of how long it takes them to find me one. There’s only 1 Blue SE 6 speed hatch listed for sale within 300 miles of me (and outside my region) and Toyota doesn’t do customer orders so who knows how long it will take them to get me one.

I've had Motorkote brand snake oil quiet down noisy bearings in a Honda tranny and a Ford rear end

I'll have to look into it but the input shaft bearing has gotten so bad the shifts are really starting to feel horrible as a result of the gear packs moving inside the trans case. It's amazing how quick it has gone from "that's a funky noise when engaging 2nd" in december, to second gear synchro is gone in January (my ice racing antics sped that process up), to completely fubar now.
